October & November Community Service: Richmond SPCA

The Richmond SPCA has saved over 47,411 animals since becoming a no-kill shelter in 2002.

Your Richmond Chapter of NACE will be collecting items at our upcoming October and November meetings.

Generous donations of the following items keep the Richmond SPCA going and are essential to the health and happiness of our four-legged friends.

Top Needs:

  • Cat scratchers for habitat doors

  • Step stools

  • Dryer sheets

  • Dry cat food

  • Small, shallow cardboard boxes or box tops that can be used as litter boxes

  • Six-foot dog leashes (no flexi/retractable leashes)

  • Non-clay cat litter (e.g. Yesterday's News or Feline Pine)

  • Gerber Blue label baby food (chicken and turkey only)

  • Kitten toys without feathers

  • Martingale dog collars, especially medium/large sizes

  • Thermal laminator

  • Flat sink stoppers

  • Foster pet care items (see below)

  • Gift cards for any of the following: Petco, Kroger, AC Moore, Michael's, fabric stores or office supply stores, Target, Amazon, Visa or American Express gift cards

  • Gift cards to Office Max or Office Depot

  • Pens

  • Paint pens

  • Sharpies (black and colored)

  • Fine point dry and wet erase markers (black)

  • Post-Its

  • Tape dispenser refills

  • Small and medium binder clips

  • File folders and labels

  • Letter-size laminating pouches

  • Colored cardstock

Many household items, pet toys, beds, blankets and newspapers are needed as well. Due to the generosity of folks in RVA – they NO LONGER NEED RAWHIDES, LASER POINTERS OR DOG TREATS (other than food logs and freeze dried chicken treats).
